About
Lisa Howell-Baxter, watercolor artist, hails from a family of painters. She grew up in northern Alabama and trained at the School of Art & Architecture at Auburn University.
She applies her creativity to watercolor portraits of children, floral paintings, house portraits, birds and more, along with using her floral design skills to create beautiful weddings for brides-to-be.
Watercolor is one of the most challenging mediums, and the outcome of a piece cannot be completely planned and executed according to a painter's vision. But, it's that challenge that makes it appealing and beautiful in its process. Lisa applies layers of washes to a painting, desiring the end result to look fresh and effortless.
Live Event Painting

Lisa Howell-Baxter is a watercolor artist specializing in portraits and live event painting. Let her capture the beauty and joy of your special day from her artistic prospective with a keepsake painting to share for generations! Each piece is created in watercolor on handmade archival paper. Live paintings are done on-site at your event and completed in the studio.
16" x 20" and up starting at $2500. Prices include a pre-event meeting, up to 4 hours attendance and live-painting (unframed) of your event, reference photography of your event, and touch-up and finalization of the painting in the studio. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
Travel costs quoted separately. A 50% deposit is required to book your date, and the balance is due the day of the event. In-studio paintings from photographs are also offered starting at $1100.
Seashore Portraits

Lisa Howell-Baxter is a watercolor artist specializing in portraits of children and children's seashore portraits. Let her capture your special time with your children or grandchildren from her artistic perspective with a keepsake painting to share for generations! Each piece is created in watercolor on handmade archival paper. Paintings are done in the studio from photos sent vial email. Lisa is available to discuss your photos and make suggestions to bring about the most beautiful outcome. Portraits start at $950, and children's beach portraits start at $1750 depending on number of children/space size. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Travel costs quoted separately if required to photograph. A 50% deposit is required to book your order. Orders are completed within 4 to 6 weeks.
